Popular educators facilitate groups, assisting them to identify their strengths and abilities to change their social conditions. One of the leading exponents of education for social change in recent years has been the Brazilian educator, Paulo Freire. Popular education begins on a local level, with logical debate focusing on the problems, or deficiencies of society. This discussion searches for answers to conflict between individuals and within their everyday lives. Popular education is most often initiated from outside a community by:

* Identifying the problems, expectations and expressed needs of a community;

* Identifying areas of change relevant to the groups' needs;

* considering the community's history, its local power base and economic distribution;

* Understanding why there are those who are disadvantaged, or oppressed. (http://adulted.about.com/cs/learningtheory/a/pop_education.htm).

She is a follower of Ghana first president , Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's Pan African path! Moving forward from focusing on what we are fighting against, WPC9 will provide a forum to examine what we are fighting for, and how to get there. How do we understand the intersections of race with gender, sexual identity, class, and other systems of inequality as they shape this struggle? How do we cultivate allies? How do we move? “We study white privilege, not to learn more about white privilege, but to see what it can teach us about liberation. WPC is recognized as a challenging, empowering and educational experience. (Website TBA) Ralph Nader, who ran for President in 2000 on the Green Party ticket, will also attend and will headline an event on the evening of Saturday, July 14, at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center, 8th and Penn Streets, in Reading. Mr. Nader has not yet made his intentions known for 2008. The Green Party of Pennsylvania <http://www.gpofpa.org> will host the meeting, which is expected to draw delegates, party officials, candidates, and observers from state Green Parties all over the US. Mr. Nader will discuss ballot access during his appearance. In 2004, Mr. Nader, running for the White House as an independent, was forced off the Pennsylvania ballot after a challenge by Democratic Party lawyers. In 2006, Carl Romanelli, Green candidate for the US Senate, was denied a ballot line after Democratic lawyers persuaded a court to invalidate many of the 90,000 signatures he handed in to comply with a Pennsylvania law requiring more than 67,000 signatures for third party candidates. Democratic and Republican candidates are only required to collect 2,000 signatures in Pennsylvania. Democratic lawyers also convinced courts to fine both Mr. Nader nearly $89,000 and Mr. Romanelli more than $80,000 for failing to qualify. Greens have sharply criticized Pennsylvania election law and the court-ordered fines, calling them a bipartisan ploy to intimidate and discourage third party and independent candidacies from running. Mr. Romanelli will also speak at the Saturday evening event. "One of the reasons Greens are eager to meet in Pennsylvania is that the state's laws typify the unfair ballot access rules, enacted by Democrats and Republicans, to keep other parties and independents off the ballot," said Jim Coplen, co-chair of the Green Party of the United States. "Pennsylvania, the so-called cradle of democracy, should be ashamed to have such laws on the books. But Pennsylvania isn't the only state with unfair ballot access laws. Greens throughout the US are challenging state legislatures and courts to abolish such obstructions. We plan to make Reading an oasis of democracy in July." MORE INFORMATION Green Party of the United States
http://www.gp.org
1711 18th Street NW
Washington, DC 20009.
202-319-7191, 866-41GREEN
Fax 202-319-7193
Green Party News Center http://www.gp.org/newscenter.shtml
Green Party Speakers Bureau http://www.gp.org/speakers 'Green for a Change': 2007 Green Party National Meeting in Reading, Pennsylvania, July 12-15
http://www.gp.org/meeting2007/
Media credentialing page http://www.gp.org/forms/media

  search: prty, elct

___ Disclaimer: State, local, and candidate press releases made available here represent the opinions of the original source only. Jesse Johnson, Cynthia McKinney, Kent Mespllay, and Kat Swift are the four contenders for the Green presidential nomination; Sedinam Kinamo Christin Moyowasifza-Curry is seeking the vice-presidential nomination.

The Green Party of the United States will hold its 2008 National Nominating Convention in Chicago, Illinois, July 10-13 (http://www.greenparty2008.org).

"We're not only sending the 'First 100 Days' list to Green candidates. The Green Eco-Action recommendations are a challenge to all presidential candidates, regardless of party, including Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John McCain -- with a plea to set aside their promises to corporate contributors for the sake of our children's lives and our planet's future," said Wes Rolley, co-chair of the Eco-Action Committee.

"The Green Party's concrete proposals stand in sharp contrast to those who would base their election on such short term ideas as a gasoline tax holiday, which they would have to pay for with more borrowing from oil rich sheikdoms," Mr. Rolley added.

The Eco-Action recommendations also provide guidance on major environmental issues for Green candidates for Congress and other offices.

Summary of major recommendations:

No new coal fired-power plants; no new nuclear power plants; reduce by 90% the mercury emissions of coal-fired power plants by 2012; protect human health and the environment.in the disposal of coal-fired power plant wastes

Ban mountaintop coal removal; ban the dumping of mountaintop removal wastes in stream beds and valleys

Reduce CO2 and SO2 emissions by 80% by 2020

Provide incentives for industry and citizens to reduce energy use through conservation and generate more renewable energy sources; enact a mandatory 25% renewable energy mix in the national grid by 2015; encourage all states to do the same (using oil and nuclear subsidy funds); encouraging local energy generation

Increase Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards to 60 mpg for cars and 45 mpg for light trucks by 2012

• Set a national phosphorus standard for all US waters that will protect steams from nutrient growth; strengthen bacteria standards to protect human health

Require labeling of imported foods, foods with growth hormones, and foods produced by Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs)

Stop export of any technology abroad for projects that involve fossil fuel or deforestation

Require that all federal agencies continue their policy of direct negotiation with Indian tribes on a government to government basis

Protect the rights of Environmental Justice communities to be free from new proposals for permits that would potentially increase their burden of toxic contamination, and prioritize these communities for cleanup

The Eco-Action Committee credited Earl Hatley of Oklahoma with most of the writing of the recommendations, with significant contributions from Derek Iverson (California) and detailed discussion among all committee members.

MORE INFORMATION

Green Party of the United States http://www.gp.org
202-319-7191, 866-41GREEN
Fax 202-319-7193

Commend the Global Greens for helping and supporting the Green Party of the United States, and for helping community leaders run for public office worldwide.

2. Have strongly opposed President Bush's invasion of Iraq and oppose the continued occupation; and have agreed that, if elected, will conduct an immediate orderly withdrawal from Iraq.

3. Demand an end to US dependence on oil, coal, and nuclear power.

4. Will continue to speak out against proposed anti-immigration bills, through participation in rallies and other actions to protest punitive legislation, such as House Bill 4437, directed at undocumented immigrants and those who assist them: Green national candidates emphasize that immigrants aren’t the enemy, and that people continue to come to US for the same reason people came throughout history -- for a better life.

5. Call for important steps to restore the power of the people:
• Proportional Representation, to ensure that
minority populations as well as majorities get
fair representation; more information at
http://www.fairvote.org
• Legislation guaranteeing the people's right to
vote in national elections
• Paper ballot trails to verify all votes and
open-source software in all computer voting
machines
• Instant Runoff Voting, to ensure that election
results reflect the will of the majority of the
majority of voters; more information at
http://www.fairvote.org

6. Invite members of the Global Greens to attend
the US Green Party's upcoming National Nominating
Convention in Chicago, July 10-13, and also to
make plans to help monitor national elections in
the US: while Democrats remained silent, Greens
challenged alleged vote manipulation by
Republicans in Ohio and New Mexico on Election
Day, 2004.

7. Share with the Global Greens Congress that
"it's cool to be Green" and that the American
public's interest in green living, from compact
fluorescent light bulbs to local markets, has
boosted interest in our party. Party affiliation is like a vote, only more powerful and cumulative, as it doesn't begin and end with an election. I join the political party that stands for my values, instead of settling for something less.

  2. Registering Green makes a clear and effective political statement. The Green Party of the United States has experienced extraordinary growth since 1996. The more people who register Green, the stronger the Green Party will be, and the more all parties will take green issues and green voters seriously.

  3. Registering Green does not limit my voting options in the general election. Since I can vote for any candidate, choosing a political party is really about what I believe in - and making it happen. political party registration is the closest thing to proportional representation we have in this country: It provides a strong indicator of which issues are important to the populace.

  4. The Green Party does not accept money from corporations. Individual citizen support and grassroots democracy are the foundation of the Green Party. We Greens are working to ensure strategic planning and training on the four key pillars * as well as work to clear the four current blocks to “people of color” joining the our political party on a mass level on every level national, state and local level (White Privilege ,Voter Fraud, Dismantling all “ism” and enforcing the 1962 Voter Rights Act )

In states like California where voter registers is by political party(1)(2), I urge everyone to help turn America green by registering for your State's Green Party affiliate.

Notes:

(1) In states like Georgia that don't do voter registration by political party, go to your state party's web site to find out how you can join your local Green Party.

(2) In States like North Carolina where we do not have Ballot Access yet, contact your State Party to help with Petition drives.

*

The Four Pillars of the Greens are the foundation of the party. These values are inseparable from each other and often overlap. While there are slight differences in the interpretation of the Four Pillars, at the root of it, Greens envision a world of happy, healthy, dignified people, living in sustaining and sustainable communities, on a thriving planet.

Ecological Wisdom
More than stop-gap solutions like recycling, this means living in harmony with our surroundings. Humanity is not separate from nature, nor do individuals live in isolation from each other. Our actions and lifestyles inevitably have an impact on our human and natural environment. We seek to minimize our negative impact and maximize our positive impact on both. We must live as Thoreau did: deliberately.

Social Justice
The promises of our Constitution and society are meant for all people, regardless of our superficial differences, including economic disparity. Everyone deserves the chance to live a healthy, meaningful life. Greens help individuals reach for that life. Further, we oppose efforts by business or government to infringe on the human rights of citizens of other nations, whether they are in the United States or at home.

Grassroots Democracy
The legitimacy of government is derived from the voluntary consent of the governed. The closer the decision-makers are to those who be affected by the decision, the more effective, efficient, and accountable government is. This value is based on Greens' unshakable conviction that people everywhere have the right to, and capacity for, self-determination.

Nonviolence
Violence is morally wrong and logistically ineffective, because it treats the symptoms of problems, not the root causes. Greens acknowledge the need to take desperate measures in self-defense in life-or-death situations, but non-violence to us means actively working to build a world where this is unnecessary. We also categorically reject the death penalty.
everywhere have the right to, and capacity for, self-determination.

News Advisory from GPCA

News Advisory from GPCA

  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Monday, April 9, 2007

To: GPCA Press Secretary,

Press Contacts & Spokespersons

From: Ms. Sedinam Kinamo Christin Moyowasifza-Curry Green Party United States Vice Presidential Candidate 2008

RE: Announcing on the first day of northern hemisphere (March 21, 2007), the first day of the first month and the first season which beginning the Iranian New Year, also in support of Human Rights Day: South Africa. The day also commemorates those Blacks who were killed at Sharpeville in 1960 and those who lost their lives in the struggle against apartheid, my bid for the Green Party United States Vice Presidential 2008 position was launch! How come I am running for our 2008 Green Party United States Vice Presidential position?

My objective in joining the Green Party was and is about building a permanent third political party here in the United States of America. For me, the way forward must be for our political party to emphasize direct action tactics and traditional electoral politics to women, people of color, independents and progressives in a clear and measurable manner; this given that the Democrats consistently take for granted all voters of color, women and it own progressive wing. Our 10 Key Values have been critical to us sustaining our vision. It is now time to enshrine a national Green vision supported by measurable laws, policies, agencies, programs and elected representatives.

After 6 years (2002-2008) of involvement in the Green Party United State (local, state, national, international) I say we must combine our energy on all levels to create winning strategies that synergistically promote a national Green vision supported by measurable policies, programs and laws appealing to the varied local, state and national interests of all Americans.

We Greens must make securing the 5% mark of the national voter base the goal over the next months. This “doable” goal will not only ensure we will be eligible for federal matching funds for our 2008 slate it will benefit local organizing, bringing in new recruits, a new vitality and energy to the party. Our campaign is focused on over the next 11 months on ensuring every registered green is an effective “ambassador of change” we seek in and for our nation.

We see each of us Greens as a key link in the “change network”. The “open” campaign I will lead for securing our 2008 GPUS Vice Presidential position is based on our 10 key values:

As a female of African descent, 45 years old (DOB 01/01/1962) I am a direct product of a nation which came through the civil rights movement; the people who laid their bodies on the line in that movement are a significant part of my inspiration.

As a historian, I have a “historical advantage” of looking at political and policies development over time. I’m fully aware that as a nation, “We are at an historic crossroads”. Our nation’s current political atmosphere and voter dissatisfaction has created a "climate of opportunity" for the Green Party on every level.

As a effective organizer I will work to ensure strategic planning and training on the four key pillars as well as work to clear the four current blocks to “people of color” joining the our political party on a mass level on every level national, state and local level (White Privilege ,Voter Fraud, Dismantling all “ism” and enforcing the 1962 Voter Rights Act )

To start a tradition of having GPUS Vice Presidential Candidates be democratically elected by our membership base and not selected by our Presidential candidate. The process I am starting is designed to build support for our party as well as allow our future Presidential aspirants to become “trained” for the Presidency years ahead before they run for office! In the past our Presidential candidates had far too much influence on rules and procedures. I will work to ensure discussions going on about who will write the rules and procedures for our 2008 convention. My campaign is a huge part to open up the process so it's not dominated by the Green "insiders" again; our membership base should be heard

I believe “We the Greens” should all agree to work to institute three very American holiday into our nation’s consciousness i.e. “We the Greens” can “brand” the (a.) certification and ratification of the Amendment XIX (the Nineteenth Amendment) to the United States Constitution 2007 marks it’s 87th Anniversary (b.) 232st Anniversary of July 4, 1776 – July 4, 2008: Independence Day [July 4 every year] and (c.) 125th Anniversary of Labor Day 1882-2007 • September 3, 2007: Labor Day [1st Monday in Sept] Labor Day is a United States federal holiday .

Green Pages Dec. 2007 Color of Green!

  December 14, 2007

The Color Of Green
Posted by peaceaction under Fall 2007 Features
                             The Color Of Green
Getting To Know People Of Color Across The Country Active In The Green Party

Ms. Sedinam Kinamo Christin Moyowasifza-Curry
“From a long-term view, Greens will have to deal openly and honestly with white privilege.”

Sedinam Kinamo Christin Moyowasifza-Curry (SKCM Curry) is currently a vice presidential nominee for the 2008 Green Party of the United States national slate. She has five years of involvement in the Green Party at the local, state and national level. SKCM Curry believes the way forward must be for Greens to emphasize tactics and traditional electoral politics to women, people of color, and progressives in a clear and measurable manner.

SKCM Curry wants to ensure that the Green Party of the United States’ 12th Anniversary in 2008 will be declared the year of the Green Women. She said, “the goal is to encourage and seek 50 Green women in each state to lead campaigns for public office. We Greens can all help make our July 2008 Annual National Meeting be Green Sister Time!”
“I shared with folks that I was born, ‘raised’ and ‘rose’ in the Pueblo Del Rio Housing Project, South Central Los Angeles, and given my family’s strong involvement in ensuring that justice and peace prevailed in our village, I have never “not’ been active in politics.”
Green Pages asked SKCM Curry why she joined the Green Party, what issues of diversity need to be addressed and how the party can accomplish that.

“When former Vice President Al Gore back in 2000 did not take the blatant cases of voter fraud occurring in the Florida elections to the International Court of Justice, I could no longer depend on political parties who accept corporate money to lead our nation; the GP does not and will not accept corporate money. Given both parties are really one party, my objective in joining the GP was and is about establishing a permanent non-corporate funded second political party in the United States of America.

“From a long-term view, Greens will have to deal openly and honestly with white privilege and build on all the workshops we have had in the past toward dismantling all “ism’s” within our leadership and ranks. I have observed that because we Greens have not yet figured out a clear long term vision for ourselves, folks of color have not joined our political party on a massive basis on any level (national, state and local.)
“Also, I am working to ensure we ‘Greens’ become major sponsors of next year’s 9th Annual White Privilege Conference (www. uccs.edu/~wpc/index.htm). Thus we Greens are a real part of the solution. Having European Americans speak to their own experience in a real, personal, political awareness can do more then any person of color can to move our nation, given the numbers of voters who are of European ancestry. From my own observations, the work is difficult because whites (Euro Americans) are so brainwashed by our ism-filled society that they are in denial of their own ism’s. Yes, even here in the Green Party.”

5 Point Focus of my walk/run for the VP "spot" for the GPUS 2008 slate!

Each point is connected to one of the 10 key values of the GPUS

5 point focus of my “walk/run” for 2008 GPUS Vice Presidential position:

1 of 5 GRASSROOTS DEMOCRACY

Every human being deserves a say in the decisions that affect their lives and not be subject to the will of another. Therefore, we will work to increase public participation at every level of government and to ensure that our public representatives are fully accountable to the people who elect them. We will also work to create new types of political organizations which expand the process of participatory democracy by directly including citizens in the decision-making process.

Ensure that “we” Greens become the Americans that get folks for trained to serve as citizen enforcer of the Voter Rights Act training and setting up Anti Voter Fraud Taskforce in every city of every state in the union for the 2008 national election. We Greens wants to protect the integrity of our national election’s it would not be unfair to say that our last two national elections have now both been seen as a illegal "hostile business takeover" that was carried out with the complicity of the USA corporate media.

1. We will build on the work that greens did in Ohio 2004 recount efforts. Our next step is massive nationwide prevention effort to remind the American public of what was lost in 2002 and 2004. Work with independent media to set up a network that will document and track every violation in each state of our union. Our national leadership can set up means to share our concerns with all other political parties and specifically request the democracy not to do what they have done in the next 2 national elected not allow all the votes to be counted we need a pledge from everyone of their folks seeking office in 2008! 2. Work to ensure that every registered green is a “point person” for Federal Voting Rights Laws and The Voting Rights Act, adopted initially in 1965 and extended in 1970, 1975, 1982 and 2006 as the "Fannie Lou Hamer, Rosa Parks, and Coretta Scott King Voting Rights Reauthorization and Amendments Act of 2006." which renews key provisions that would otherwise expire in 2007. It is generally considered the most successful piece of civil rights legislation ever adopted by the United States Congress. The Act codifies and effectuates the 15th Amendment's permanent guarantee that, throughout the nation, no person shall be denied the right to vote on account of race or color. In addition, the Act contains several special provisions that impose even more stringent requirements in certain jurisdictions throughout the country. The party has run women for Vice President in all three elections (Winona LaDuke in 1996 and 2000; Pat LaMarche in 2004) and has been the only political party to run a Native American for Vice President (Winona LaDuke). The most sweeping reforms were embodied in the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Pushed for change through the civil rights movement in the 1950s and '60s were century old practices aimed at preventing Blacks from exercising their legal right to vote. This law provided for automatic suspension of literacy tests and other voter qualification devices because they were applied in a discriminatory way; gave federal voting examiners the authority to register voters in areas not meeting certain voter participation requirements; authorized the U. S. attorney general to investigate the validity of state poll taxes; required federal review to prevent racial discrimination by new state voting laws; and made interference with voting rights conferred by the law a criminal offense.

Addition to this law was the 24th Amendment to the U. S. Constitution, ratified in 1964, prohibiting poll taxes as a qualification for voting in federal elections. In 1970 the Voting Rights Act was extended and the voting age was lowered to 18. The Supreme Court later upheld the vote for 18-year-olds in federal elections, but ruled that Congress had acted unconstitutionally in lowering the voting age to 18 in state and local elections. This problem was solved by the 26th Amendment, ratified in 1971, providing that citizens 18 years of age or older could not be denied the franchise “on account of age.”

The Voting Rights Act has been amended twice, in 1975 and 1982. Among the most important provisions of the later amendments were the addition of bilingual requirements in some counties; a permanent nationwide ban on the use of literacy tests as a voting requirement; and a law allowing voters nationwide who are illiterate, blind, or disabled to be assisted in the voting booth by a person of their own choice. These amendments also made it easier for minorities to use the courts to attack discriminatory election methods.

Other laws have been passed that protect the franchise of certain groups; for example, U. S. citizens residing abroad were granted the right to vote in federal elections by absentee ballot in 1975, and voting accessibility for the elderly was guaranteed in 1984.

Reference:
Library of Congress
101 Independence Avenue S.E.
Washington D.C. 20540 We Greens of color see, the way forward must be for our political party to emphasize direct action tactics and traditional electoral politics to women, people of color, independents and progressives in a clear and measurable manner; this given that the Democrats consistently take for granted all voters of color, women and it own progressive wing.

Our 10 key values have been critical to us sustaining our vision of the real change we Greens work for and want.

We launched a VP GPUS 2008 campaign to enshrine a national Green vision supported by measurable laws, policies, agencies, programs and elected representatives. Our campaign is focused on over the next months on ensuring every registered green is an effective “ambassador of change” we seek in and for our nation.

We see each of us Greens as a key link in the “change network”. The “open” campaign I will lead for securing our 2008 GPUS Vice Presidential position is based on our 10 key values.

Thank you BC for the honest voice today...

Ms. Sedinam Kinamo Christin Moyowasifza-Curry
Green Party United State (GPUS) Vice Presidential Candidate

July 2006 Write up GPCA Green Focus

July 23, 2006 I have an opinion formed after 4 years (2002-2006) of involvement at or with every level or our state and national party*. If we want to really be serious and get the important 5% mark for the national vote, meaning that the party will still be eligible for federal matching funds in 2008. Also important if really one of our objectives is about building a permanent third party here in the USA then, we must as a state and national party emphasize direct action tactics and traditional electoral politics to women, people of color and progressives in a clear and measurable manner. Here in the GPCA we have done a huge job in our state for the past 18 years being able to even “exist” given the direct attacks by other political parties to our ability to even be on the ballot here in CA. As a GPCA’er who is Black American, female, disabled and low income I see the way forward for our state party before our 20th Anniversary in 2010 by “we” making it imperative to take steps to evaluate from where we have come these past 18 years and just where we must go over the next 32 years to our 50th Anniversary in 2040. I am suggesting we use the next two years (2006-2008) as our long term planning spring board to create, “ A Clear Path Towards Dismantling And Ending Racism, Sexism And White Privilege Within Our Party by 2010“. When the GPCA deals openly and honestly with the truth, be it ugly when we face ourselves we can move forward as a means to draw the masses in California’s to registrar and vote green in the upcoming 2006 State Elections and beyond. Questions 1. In our 18 years as a state political party (GPCA) how many times have we run a person or woman of color or a European-American woman as our gubernatorial candidate? 2. As a national party since 1996 how many times have we run a person or woman of color or a Europe-American woman as our presidential candidate? 3. When will we stop using the same tactic of convincing prominent progressives to run as our representatives as opposed to us recruiting, secure & train ‘homegrown person or woman of color or a European-American woman” Greens for state & national offices? The lack of GPCA people of color and women in key statewide and local political office is just another illustration of the danger of treating symptoms, rather than attempting to deal with the underlying causes of our issues (racism, sexism, classism and white privilege). It is always important to remember that, no matter how alarming the symptoms (less than 15 persons of color have attended the four years I have attended state meetings and gathering) may be, and no matter how desirable it maybe seem to alleviate the pain that is one result of the symptoms, care should be taken that, in relieving distress, the fundamental maladjustments responsible for the distress in the first place are not made worse (current high level of “tokenism” within GPCA). Sadly, I have observed “tokenism” far too often within the GPCA and USGP. Just having a person of color an a woman “around” does not fix the “root cause” of how come “we” are not fully within every level of state & national government as visible Greens. The “tokenism” within our current state party is completely disguising the issues of subordination of persons or woman of color or European-American woman to males. By us opening ourselves up to go thru our own self examination process we will also make political his/her-story we would have been the first state party to have had the courage to self examine and really embrace on an individual level our 10 key values & 4 Pillars. Wow, what a PR Win/Win for the GPCA. Yes, all 140,000 of “us” envision, work, support and create a political institute that will move our state and our national political party towards building a better world for us all. Let us also take advantage of our states being named after a Black woman, Queen Califia to ensure exposure to our 10 key values and 4 Pillars! In closing, over the next two years those of us coordinating these efforts will submit 7 articles here in Green Focus as a means to open up a dialogue within the GPCA as well invite speakers to the state meeting on our theme to also lead breakout sessions. We encourage your input and idea’s on how we can create “ A Clear Path Towards Dismantling And Ending Racism, Sexism And White Privilege Within Our Party by 2010 “ thus laying the groundwork toward claiming state and national offices in 2006 and beyond! Peace, Soul & Greens! Sedinam Kinamo Christin Moyowasifza-Curry USA Green Party Vice Presidential Aspirant 2008 USA Green Party Presidential Aspirant 2016 / New Thinking - Timeless Values! *5 years as an active Green Party California member (attending meeting; local, state and national) I was a state party sustainer for 2 year’s, On the local level a participant in telephone banking, get out the vote, voter registration, tabling, outreach events etc., restarted the South Central Greens. Participated in several local green campaigns Josephina in Santa Monica along with, Kevin K & Mike F. and B. Delear. On the state level up north in San Francisco; Terry Baum, Bruce Wolfe and I set up and ran the Anti Fraud Taskforce for Matt Gonzales Mayoral Run and in Oakland, Aimee Allison. Currently, I service as Co Co for GPCA GIWG, a not so active member of GI, founding and forming member of the GPCA Disable Caucus. Self appointed set up person for GPCA Women’s caucus.
